The light blue, greenish to strong turquoise amazonite belongs to the califeldspar group. It got its name from Alexander von Humboldt, who called it the "stone of Amazonia". The main deposit of Amazonite is in Brazil. -

Royal lapis lazuli is regarded as the stone of friendship and truth. The name of lapis lazuli has its origins in the Arabic word "azul" (meaning heaven) and the Latin word "lapis" (meaning stone).
Lapis lazuli was already a sought-after precious and protective stone thousands of years ago. It was also used as a colour in painting.
