€29.90Der Apatit, genannt nach dem griech. apatao, "täuschen", ist ein Stein, der leicht mit anderen Mineralien verwechselt wurde und noch wird. Das weltweit vorkommende Calziumphosphat zeigt eine hohe Farbvielfalt von farblos, braun, gelb, blau und grün, selten auch rosa und violett. Eine gelblich-grüne Varietät wird auch Spargelstein genannt.

Apatite, named after the Greek apatao, "to deceive", is a stone that was and still is easily confused with other minerals. The globally occurring calcium phosphate shows a wide variety of colours ranging from colourless, brown, yellow, blue and green, rarely also pink and violet. -

The blue, sometimes blue-violet dumortierite was named after a French palaeontologist. If the dumortierite is interspersed with coarse quartz, it is called dumortierite quartz.
