Lapis Lazuli pendant
Royal lapis lazuli is considered a stone of friendship and truth. The name lapis lazuli has its origins in the Arabic word “azul” (meaning “sky”) and the Latin word “lapis” (meaning “stone”).
Lapis lazuli was already a sought-after precious and protective stone thousands of years ago. It was also used as a color in painting.
Stone size: approx. 20 x 30 mm set in sterling silver.
In ancient times, in India, China and among the Incas, lapis lazuli was known as a healing stone. According to tradition, it was said to be effective for epilepsy, skin diseases or gallbladder problems and could increase potency.
Lapis lazuli promotes sincerity, sociability and friendship and helps to speak the truth and to be able to accept it. It stands for the third eye and promotes clear thinking and rational abilities.
