Idaho blue spruce (Picea Pungens) is grown, harvested, and processed locally for the essential oil of the same name on Young Living farms in northern Idaho. The oil contains high levels of the plant's active ingredients, alpha-pinene and limonene.

Applied externally, it has a calming effect on stressed muscles; while the characteristic woody scent invigorates the senses, calms the mind and relaxes the body. The aroma can help to release emotional blockages and to achieve harmony and security.
