Although the essential oil of the blue rain fern (Tanacetum annuum) is extracted from small yellow flowers from the camomile family, the powerful essential oil acquires a deep blue colour during steam distillation. The reason for this is the naturally contained active ingredient chamazulene. This rare plant, originally from Morocco, is known mainly from high-end beauty products. Young Living members have long known the essential oil of blue rain fern as an ingredient in many popular blends, including Valor, Peace & Calming, and JuvaFlex. Finally, Blue Rain Fern is now available as a single oil--for nebulization, for application to the skin, or to bring joy to others!

Recommendation for use
On the skin: dilute 1 drop with 1 drop of V-6™ or olive oil and apply to the desired area. Aromatic: Nebulize three times a day for up to 30 minutes. Safety advice: Keep out of reach of children. Northern Lights Black Spruce essential oil comes from Young Living Northern Lights Farm in British Columbia, Canada. Black spruce (Picea mariana) is native to all of Canada, even the three Arctic regions. To extract the essential oil, all the tree's components are steam distilled.

The rich aroma, which smells of fresh forest, is ideal for nebulizing during meditation. The oil of black spruce is also a perfect complement for any skin care. It can be applied directly to improve the appearance of dry skin or generally to maintain the healthy appearance of the skin.

You can apply the oil of Northern Lights black spruce to all parts of the body - including the soles of your feet, along the backbone or neck - and also use it for massages. The oil contains the naturally occurring substances alpha-pinene, camphene and beta-pinene and is also an important component of the essential oil blends Valor II®, Shutran™, Peace & Calming IITM, Light The FireTM and many other products.

Young Living's fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) has a sweet, earthy, anise-like flavor with a revitalizing, vitalizing, and harmonizing effect. It has a stimulating effect on the circulatory, glandular, respiratory, and digestive systems. It can also alleviate menstrual problems. Fennel has an ORAC of approximately 2,383,680 (TE/L). TE/L is given as micromole Trolox equivalent (micromol Trolox) per litre.

Fennel is the only plant species of the genus Foeniculum within the family of umbellifers (Apiaceae) and is related to parsley.

In the Middle Ages fennel was used as protection against evil spirits and witchcraft. For centuries fennel has been considered an effective digestive aid and remedy for gynaecological problems. The ancient Egyptians and Hildegard von Bingen also have numerous records of the effects and uses of fennel.

Young Living's Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) has a light, fresh, lemony scent that strengthens and vitalizes while soothing and calming. Melissa was an important ingredient in Carmelite water (distilled in France since 1611 by members of the Carmelite Order).

Some studies have shown that lemon balm has a beneficial effect on the skin. During the winter season it has a calming and supportive effect on the immune system. Lemon balm reaches a value of 1,343,547 (TE/L) on the ORAC scale. TE/L stands for "micromole Trolox equivalent per liter".

Enjoy the spicy aroma. Oregano by Young Living belongs to the mint family and is distilled from the leaves and flowers and often used as a potent top note in smoky perfumes. Both soothing and stimulating, this herb was used in wedding ceremonies by the ancient Romans and Greeks. Traditionally, wreaths of oregano crowned the heads of the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony, symbolising prosperity and long life. Blends well with lemon, patchouli and sandalwood.

The Damascene Rose, mainly grown in Bulgaria, differs in its composition from the Moroccan Rose (rosa centifolia) by a higher citronellol content, which also causes a difference in aroma and therapeutic effect.

The rose essence is extracted from the petals. This precious essence has been extracted for thousands of years and has been used not only as an intoxicating fragrance but also for healing purposes from very early on. The Arabian doctor and scholar Avicenna is said to have been the first to distil the rose and in his writings he also referred to its healing powers.

The rose has a very high vibration the highest of all essences, and this is also associated with its heart-opening, aphrodisiac and intoxicating effects. Rose is very harmonizing and balancing, reduces tension and stress.
