While other types of lemons release some of their oil when they turn yellow, the jade lemon retains its green colour even when ripe, which means that the oil remains in the fruit. Kunzea is a wild bush, native to the south coasts of Australia and Tasmania, which has been used by indigenous cultures for centuries. The Kunzea plant with the round inflorescences is also called "white cloud".
Young Living's Kunzea essential oil, which is derived from the plant, is very similar in effect and application to tea tree oil, but has a more pleasant fragrance and is milder when applied directly to the skin.
