Although the essential oil of the blue rain fern (Tanacetum annuum) is extracted from small yellow flowers from the camomile family, the powerful essential oil acquires a deep blue colour during steam distillation. The reason for this is the naturally contained active ingredient chamazulene. This rare plant, originally from Morocco, is known mainly from high-end beauty products. Recommendation for use
