The fluorite is also called fluorspar. It received its name from the Latin ("flow"). It belongs to the minerals with the greatest variety of colours. Colourless, yellow, green, blue and violet, and of course also multicoloured as rainbow fluorite.
There are sites in China, Argentina, India, Europe and USA. -

Especially in the jewellery sector many things are often mistakenly advertised as jade, especially serpentine. The name jade (span. "loin stone") indicates that this stone has been used for a long time as a protective and healing stone against kidney problems. The corresponding Chinese name "Yü" means "beautiful stone". Jade is considered a holy stone there.
