The aquamarine (lat. "water of the sea") got its name because of its color, which ranges from delicate light blue, to aquamarine blue and to dark greenish blue. Color-giving element for the blue representative of the beryl group is iron.
The most important aquamarine deposits are located in Brazil (Minas Gerais). Other deposits are located in Afghanistan, Russia, China and Africa.
Aquamarine stands for farsightedness, foresight; promotes endurance, discipline, lightness and composure. Aquamarine clears confusion and encourages to complete unfinished business. According to literature, aquamarine helps with allergies, hay fever, complaints of the eyes, respiratory tract, thyroid gland and urinary bladder.
